Stabbing in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – A man is suffering from an apparent stab wound tonight.

Santa Barbara Police and City Fire responded to the intersection of Cota and Garden Streets shortly after 6 p.m., and found an adult Black male with what is being described as a minor puncture to his body with almost no bleeding.

The victim reached out to a passerby for help and was taken to Cottage Hospital by ambulance. SBPD is continuing to investigate the incident but the victim has been uncooperative.

Police removed a bicycle from the scene. It’s unclear whether it belonged to the victim, the suspect, or a bystander.
