Discussion Forum

To My Readers:

I have started an experimental forum to discuss a vast number of topics generated by posts you may read in this blog or any other blog. Really, no topic is off limits. Now, is this forum going to work? Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell. I figured that maybe this blog does not lend itself to having more in depth discussions that would go beyond simply posting comments, and that was a strong motivation for the creation of this forum.

As with anything, the forum is not perfect and I would accept any comments or suggestions you may have as to how it can be improved. The really nice thing about this forum is that in order to post comments and navigate through it, you do not even have to create a username because you can simply log in with your Facebook account information. I really like that login feature because it is just less information you have to keep track of.

At first, I decided to give Google Groups a try but it just seemed you HAD to have a Google account in order to sign in and post. That could have been a discouraging factor for a lot of people who may have been interested in posting. Then I found forumotion.com, which hosts free forums simple to design, customize, and use.

You can access the discussion forum by going to posttheword.forumotion.com or by simply clicking on the DISCUSSION FORUM tab at the top of this blog. Try it out, have fun, and let me know what you think. Some of your discussions may even make it into some of the articles written for this blog. Again, this is just an experimental feature at the moment and your input will decide whether it says on as a permanent feature or not. Enjoy.
