Fire at Santa Barbara City College

At the break of dawn, Santa Barbara City Fire remains on scene of a brush fire that broke out at 5AM next to the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum.

Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene.

Santa Barbara City Fire Captain George Martinez says, “when Engine One arrived there was a small brush fire approximately 15x20 feet…a spot fire down the path at City College.” The Fire was contained to that area and put out within minutes. No damages to the Carriage Museum were reported.

A lone couple tried putting out the fire while SB City Fire arrived on scene. There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
