The accident happened at 11:10pm in front of Santa Barbara City College. The skateboarder, a Caucasian male in his early 20s, was riding along the vehicle lane heading toward West Casti
llo Street when a Village Cab coming down the same lane was unable to dodge the skateboarder hitting him and sending the man onto the paved road. Three SBPD patrol cars arrived on scene as well as an ambulance for assistance. The skateboarder was able to walk away with minor injury to his left arm, hand and elbow, which paramedics were able to quickly bandage up.
No word yet on whether the skateboarder will press charges against the taxi driver and the Village Cab company.
