Santa Barbara Woman Attacked

Paramedics were called out to the 800 block of Cacique Street

Two ambulances were called out to the 800 block of Cacique Street around 8:30 Tuesday night on what appears to be two unrelated incidents .

Santa Barbara Police and Santa Barbara City Fire responded to the unfolding scene outside Casa Esperanza where a resident of the establishment fell ill and needed to receive medical attention. At the same time, witnesses say a young woman became hysterical saying she had been attacked by at least two men that were following her for a few blocks as she walked to her parked RV with her dog. A witness said this attack could have potentially been a rape attempt and said the victim had blood coming from her right arm as though there had been a struggle. This same witness told The Urban Note that a few days prior to this attack, they observed a man inside a car parked nearby watching the victim very closely. The investigation is ongoing and the victim's name is unknown at this time.
